Tyrone Davis was easily one of the most successful male singers during his time. His catalog is rich with hits that span over two decades. Starting his career billed as “Tyrone the Wonder Boy,” he recorded for small Chicago labels until 1968…where changed his stage last name to Davis.
Dubbed the King of romantic Chicago Soul by MTV, Tyrone Davis deserves his flowers due to the fact that his classic discography made him a fan favorite for women who are die hard soul fans during the 60s & 70s.
