Albums Released: Al Green Gets Next to You, Let’s Stay Together, I’m Still in Love with You, Call Me, Livin’ For You, Al Green Explores Your Mind, Al Green Is Love, Full of Fire, Have A Good Time, The Belle Album, Truth n’ Time.
The 70s saw great success for Al! His cover of The Temptations “I Can’t Get Next to You” which was a R&B hit. He kept the momentum going with “Tired of Being Alone,” which was his first million selling record!
His follow up record Let’s Stay Together secured the bag, & his influence in soulful music. The album “Let’s Stay Together” began the era of classic albums from Al!
The 80s:
Albums Released: The Lord Will Make a Way, Higher Plane, Precious Lord, I’ll Rise Again, The Christmas Album, Trust In God, He Is The Light, Soul Survivor, I Get Joy.
During the 80s decade, Al went towards a more gospel sound, which is DEEPLY rooted and is a huge influence in his R&B catalog.
In the late 80s, Al saw success with a duet with Annie Lennox for the Scrooged soundtrack!

The 90s:

Al returned back to his roots in the 90s, & it was about time for him to show the new school what time it was!

Al’s collaboration with Ann Nesby (Put It on Paper) is an automatic CLASSIC.
Willie Mitchell reunited with Al for his 27th album, and it was worth the wait.
Al Green is the last of a dying breed.
